Timing of cutting teeth

Usually, the first baby teeth erupt at the age of 6-8 months. The extraction of milk teeth is completed at 2.5 – 3 years. At the age of 3, a child should have a total of 20 milk teeth.

The timings for cutting milk teeth are:

  • 6-8 months – first milk incisors
  • 8-14 months – second incisors
  • 12 – 16 months – first chewing molars
  • 16 – 24 months – falls
  • 20-30 months – second milk molars

Remember that teething, like the growth and development of the child’s body, is an individual process, so do not be afraid if by the age of 3 our baby has not yet fully erupted teeth.
However, this process should be monitored very carefully, and therefore regular visits to the dentist are important.
