Gum correction

The formula for an ideal smile is not only determined by the whiteness of the teeth; the “smile line” – the harmony between the lower lip and the gum contour – is of great importance. Gum correction in our clinic allows us to achieve the desired visual effect and, most importantly, ensure the long-term health of the teeth.

When is correction necessary?

Often, when smiling, the gums are visible wide, and the crown part of the teeth is shorter compared to the contour of the face. In such cases, the gum contour is changed using a laser or resection method, which visually lengthens the teeth and makes the smile more proportional.

Why is this important for health? More important than aesthetics is the functional state of the gums:

Protection: Correctly positioned gums reliably protect the teeth from damage.

Prevention: Incorrect contour increases the risk of tooth damage and the development of inflammatory processes.

How is the procedure performed?

Correction of overgrown gums in modern dentistry is a completely painless procedure:

Local anesthesia: the procedure is performed completely painlessly.

Non-invasive: correction is performed without making any incisions in the skin.

Methods: The contour can be changed using both laser and resection, depending on the individual needs of the patient.

Rehabilitation: The post-operative period lasts several weeks and, as a rule, proceeds without any discomfort.

Gum recession: effective solution to a difficult problem

Gum recession (lifting) is a relatively acute problem that requires a special approach. At this time, the tooth neck is exposed, which causes sensitivity and the risk of damage.

In our clinic, we use the most justified surgical method of treatment – gum transplantation

Result: fully restored gum tissue and preserved teeth.

Period: Final rehabilitation and full tissue integration takes approximately 6 months, but the result is stable and long-lasting.
