At what age should we start going to the dentist?
Dental problems appear in children from a young age, for their health it is necessary to plan a visit to the dentist as soon as the first teeth appear, because the correct development of milk teeth is a precursor to the health of permanent teeth.
Up to 2-3 years old, you can visit the dentist once a year, and from 3 years old – twice a year.
You should start planning your first visit to the dentist much before the appointment to avoid unwanted consequences:
- Prepare your little one in advance, talk about the topic, teach him to open his mouth and watch cartoons made for children to avoid dentophobia (fear of the dentist).
- Do not choose a time for the meeting that coincides with the child’s sleeping time. On the contrary, try to bring him to the clinic well-rested. Also, feed him lightly before the visit so that he doesn’t get hungry or bored.
- Try to make the little one feel positive from the beginning, because the first visit will be remembered for a very long time, and we will help you as much as possible in all this.
- During the first visit, our doctors will teach you what kind of brush and toothpaste to use at an early age and how to get used to the routine of caring for small teeth.
