This question is hard to answer without a professional dental opinion. Implantation requires comparatively more investment – of money, time and energy, on the part of both the doctor and the patient – and whether it is appropriate depends directly on the specific situation.

Indications for dental prosthetics, if the patient wishes, include all cases where there are no contraindications. Indications and contraindications for implantation are determined based on the medical history and examinations, as well as an assessment of the patient’s psycho-emotional state.
Indications for implantation:

- Single-tooth gaps in the dental arch (without preparing the neighboring teeth);
- Bounded gaps in the dental arch (without preparing the teeth surrounding the gap);
- Free-end gaps at the end of the dental arch (allowing fixed prosthetics);
- Complete absence of teeth (allows a complete fixed prosthesis or gives maximum retention to a removable denture).
Absolute contraindications for dental implantation:
- Chronic diseases of the body (tuberculosis, rheumatic disease, diabetes, diseases of the oral mucosa, etc.);
- Diseases of the blood and blood-forming organs;
- Diseases of the skeletal system that reduce its ability to regenerate;
- Diseases of the central and peripheral nervous system.
- Malignant tumors during special therapy and for a certain period afterwards.
Relative contraindications for dental implantation:
- Periodontitis (acute and subacute forms);
- Pathological bite and increased tooth wear;
- Poor oral hygiene with no sign of improvement.
- Tumor-like growths and tumors in the mouth and jaws;
- Metal implants elsewhere in the body (Kirschner wires, mini plates, metal sutures, artificial joints, heart valves, pacemakers, etc.);
- Temporomandibular joint disorders;
- Bruxism (unconscious clenching or grinding of the jaws, especially during sleep);
- Anatomical features of the jawbones that rule out implant placement (bone atrophy, impacted teeth, sinuses, etc.) and require preliminary bone augmentation surgery.
- Pregnancy and breastfeeding are temporary contraindications.

Social contraindications for implantation
- A careless attitude to one’s own health, nicotine, frequent alcohol consumption, irregular meals, drinking large amounts of coffee.
- Occupational factors – heavy physical work, extreme and injury-prone sports.
