How to Care for Your Mouth and Teeth When You Have a Cold?

This question is especially relevant now that flu and virus season has arrived.

A few simple ways to take care of your mouth:

✔️ Choose sugar-free cough medicines.

✔️After vomiting, it is better to rinse with water. When you vomit, stomach acid gets into your mouth and coats your teeth; if you brush right away, you just rub the acid into your teeth. It is better to rinse with mouthwash or 1 tablespoon of baking soda dissolved in water.

✔️ Drink more water and avoid a dry mouth.

  • ✔️ Sweet tea is very pleasant when you have a cold, but try not to add a lot of sugar and lemon.

✔️ Don’t share your toothbrush with anyone, especially when you are ill. The flu virus survives on a moist surface for 72 hours.

Always take care of your teeth, but especially when you have a cold or a virus.

A feeling of freshness in your mouth can help you recover
