After the New Year holidays, it is especially important to think about balanced eating and take care of your teeth
To prevent caries, therapist and surgeon Levan Kimeridze recommends:
✔️ Limit caries-causing carbohydrates in your diet.
✔️ Eat more plant fiber. Fiber is found in fruit and vegetables. Oral bacteria cannot use fiber, and it is also good for the intestines, where it acts as a “broom”.
✔️ Eat whole apples or carrots – hard food naturally cleans the teeth.
✔️ Brush your teeth after every meal, and when you can’t, rinse your mouth with warm water.
✔️ Chewing sugar-free gum for 5-10 minutes is fine.
Don’t always say no to candy, chocolate and other sweets. Cutting out sweets reduces the production of endorphins, the happiness hormones
Happy holidays!
